Human Angel

Divine Poem

Once upon a time there was a one-winged angel
with a broken heart.
She was shot down by an arrow, an arrow of love.
The wound went too deep, and she felt deeply hurt.
This one-winged angel, she needs only to love.

The arrow broke her heart and dimmed her halo.
But still, she kept the arrow with her wherever she did go,
It was a reminder of the love she felt inside –
The moment the arrow pierced through her heart that night.

This one-winged angel,
needs only to love,
A love so divine and so bright as the starlight –
Makes her void grow.

As the days turned to nights,
and nights turned to brighter days,
she fell deeper than deep into her sleep.
Can this one-winged angel grow another wing?
And love herself as God loves everyone and everything?
Because she waited and waited to be waking up from her
deeper than deep dreams.

It has been too long ago since the arrow penetrated her heart,
that she’s unable to remember if she soared down from
heaven, or rose up from hell at the beginning of the dark.
Could she be a holy angel with a missing wing,
or a mortal human with feelings within?

This one-winged angel needs only to love,
A love so divine and so bright as the starlight –
Makes her void grow.

While she felt stuck with her one-winged wing,
her head spinning like a wheel on the mud,
she was trying to get away from her feelings within.
Questions asked, and answers given,
Her love –
She scattered it into the wind, to get even.
Even with another side of herself, where her heart
Has longed to dwell.

This one-winged angel needs only to love,
a love so divine and so bright as the starlight
makes her void grow –

She’s growing another wing,
and love herself as God loves everyone and everything.
